Taxi Breakdown Cover

In the event of a breakdown, make sure you are back on the road and back to business as quick as possible.

Keeping you on the road.

Staying on the road is essential to being a taxi driver. If you can’t drive your taxi, you can’t pick up fares, which means you can’t make any money. So, breaking down is not only inconvenient, but it can be a huge financial hit. Taking out breakdown insurance will give you peace of mind whilst out on the road.

Depending on the level of cover that you take, you can be protected against both mechanical and electrical breakdowns, which is handy if you’re in a shiny, new electric taxi. The policy can also cover misfuelling and overnight accommodation if needed, within the UK only.

Breakdown Insurance can offer roadside assistance to get you back to work as quickly as possible. If the mechanic can’t get you going again at the side of the road, you could be covered to be taken to a local garage. If the garage can’t fix your car on the same day, you and your passengers could be provided with onward travel to your destination. We can also offer nationwide recovery and home assistance, making sure that you’re covered from your front door, to the end of your longest fare (fare paying passengers may need to get into a new taxi to continue their journey).

You can take out our breakdown insurance with or without taking out one of our taxi insurance policies. For added flexibility you can pay all in one go, or if you prefer you can pay monthly (additional charges may apply).
